Wild Brown Trout Fishery
Work has been carried out to enhance spawning and nursey habitat in the feeder stream to ensure a good supply of wild juveniles to the dam. Some Lough Leven strain fish have been stocked and have spawned. Water levels can be low in late summer
How to get there
From Belfast Approach by the M5 and A2 towards Carrickfergus. As you go into Carrickfergus take the B58 towards Ballynure. About 1.6 km out (at the Brown Cow Inn sign) fork left for 0.4 km to cross the B90 at Woodburn village. Travel on over the hump-back bridge to the car park beside Woodburn church.
