Wild Salmon and Trout Fishery
The fishery is close to Belfast City Centre. It stretches for approximately 1km from Shaw's Bridge to below Red Bridge. There are a number of good fly fishery stretches along this stretch. The river below Red Bridge is deep and slow flowing with fishing points available all along the old tow-path on the West bank from Red Bridge downstream to Stranmillis weir and beyond. It has good spinning water at certain places. Access has been improved by the Laganside development as far down as the Queens Bridge.
