Species: - Salmon and Brown trout
Season: - 1 March–30 September
Methods: - Fly fishing only, except on the stretch of the river from the downstream side of Steps Bridge, Magheralin (near Express Dairy (NI) Ltd) to Spencer’s Bridge, where from 1 June fly fishing, spinning and worm fishing are permitted
Daily Bag Limit: - 6 Brown Trout per rod per day. Salmon limits click here
Size Limit: - Minimum takeable size 25.4 cm
Other Restrictions: - Sunday fishing is not permitted except on the stretch between Steps Bridge and Spencer’s Bridge (notices posted)

Iveagh Angling Club makes an unlimited number of day tickets available to non-Club members. These day tickets are on sale at:- Premier Angling, 17 Queen Street, Lurgan; Post Office, Main Street, Donacloney; Islandderry Trout Fishery, Dromore

In addition, ten daily tickets are available per day free of charge to holders of Department Annual Game Season Permits and concessionary on production of their adult or juvenile permits. These Club Day Tickets must be endorsed with the Department Permit Number.

Note: Club Day Tickets issued for Sunday fishing do not permit holders to fish those areas signposted “No Sunday Fishing”.
How to get there
Dromore is just off the A1 between Lisburn and Banbridge, where it meets the B2 from Ballynahinch. Magheralin is on the A3 Moira to Lurgan road where it meets the B9 from Donaghcloney and Banbridge.

Moira is at junction 9 of the M1.

Lurgan can be approached by leaving the M1 either at junction 9 and taking the A3 through Moira, or at junction 10 and following the signposts for the town centre.
