Wild Salmon and Trout River
This stretch of the River Blackwater, which lies mainly upstream of Blackwatertown Bridge, is available to Department permit holders on the right (Co Armagh) bank. This short stretch provides good game fishing water downstream of the island where there are a number of known salmon lies.
How to get there
From Belfast by M1 motorway junction 15, take the A29 through Moy towards Armagh turning left towards Blackwatertown (signposted) at the edge of Charlemont village. From Armagh take the A29 towards Moy, turning left onto the B128 at at McCready’s Corner, 4.8 km from Armagh.
