Lough Lee is located in a wild and beautiful setting among the mountains of west Tyrone. In spite of its isolation, the walk from the nearest country road, less than 1.6 km, takes 25 to 30minutes by the path staked out for anglers. This is sheep country and dogs are not welcome. All legal methods of angling are permitted.
Trout up to ½ kg are abundant but can be difficult to entice with some larger trout up to 1 kg also taken from time to time. The water is crystal clear and the distinctly and beautifully marked wild trout bear little discolouration from the surrounding upland peat. It is a limestone lake with good stocks of native trout.
