This is a very popular water with good catches regularly taken. It is in a forest area with good fly hatches. Parking is some distance from the Reservoir. Anglers must use the official entrances and on no account trespass on adjoining lands or park their cars in such a way as to obstruct roadways or gate entrances.
How to get there
From Belfast Approach by the M5 and A2 towards Carrickfergus. As you go into Carrickfergus take the B58 towards Ballynure. About 1.6 km out (at the Brown Cow Inn sign) fork left for 0.4 km to cross the B90 at Woodburn village. Travel on over the hump-back bridge to the car park beside Woodburn church. There is a disabled car park 1.5km before this (key required for access).
