This reservoir is fairly small but productive with good fly hatches. Wading is permitted but care should be taken as this can be dangerous when the water is at certain levels. New car parking has been provided at this fishery. Anglers must use the official entrances and on no account trespass on adjoining lands or park their cars in such a way as to obstruct roadways or gate entrances.

How to get there

From Belfast Approach by the M5 and A2 towards Carrickfergus. As you go into Carrickfergus take the B58 towards Ballynure. About 1.6 km out (at the Brown Cow Inn sign) fork left for 0.4 km to cross the B90 at Woodburn village.Carry on past the B90 for 2.4 km over the hump-back bridge to the car park.
