Lough Bradan is an upland lake situated in the scenic Lough Bradan forest 19.2 km west of Omagh. The lake is well stocked with brown trout which rise freely to the evening hatch of terrestrial flies. Bait fishing is more rewarding early in the season. Anglers are advised to use the east bank.
How to get there
From the A5 (Omagh to Londonderry) take the B50, 1.6 km north of Omagh, traveling west for 11.2 km, turn south by B84 for 0.8 km, turning right (signposted) westwards for 6.4 km.
From B72 (Castlederg to Ederny) 6.4 km north of Ederny turn east at signpost to Drumquin 4 km.
PLEASE NOTE - Omagh Motor Club will be running a stage rally in Lough Bradan Forest on Sat 26th September. There will be no vehicular access to the Lough and anyone wishing to use the lake will only be able to access it on foot.
