This is another popular lake providing high class brown trout fishing with over 5000 takeable trout stocked throughout the season. There is a good fall of terrestrial insects on this water.
There is a soft boggy pocket in the bay at the south-east corner near the car-park and anglers should exercise great care when wading in this area. Angling stands have been provided.
How to get there
From Belfast to the end of the M1 continuing on the Dungannon by-pass for approximately 0.4 km past the service area. Turn left onto the B45 to Caledon travelling through Eglish, turning right at the crossroads just over the Oona Bridge from where the lake is signposted.
From Aughnacloy take the B128 Benburb road for 7.2 km. Turn left at Holland’s Crossroads where the lake is indicated by a signpost.
