Disabled Facilities
There is a level tarmac road from the car park to the dam. There is a grass path along the dam wall but ease of fishing will depend on water levels. Anglers with disabled permits can use all legal methods but otherwise the dam is fly only fishing.
This is a very popular water with good catches regularly taken. It is in a forest area with good fly hatches. Parking is some distance from the Reservoir. Angler must use the official entrances and on no account.tresspass on adjoining lands or park their cars in such a way as to obstruct roadways or gate entrances.

How to get there
Take the B58 at Carrickfergus towards Ballynure. About 1.6km (at Brown Cow Inn Sign) take a left for 0.4km to cross the B90 at Woodburn village. Travel on over the humpback bridge for 1.9m to the main entrance gates. Keys are available on a first come first serve basis to registered disabled by applying to DCAL HQ. Tel: 028 90515103. The gates are quite heavy and those with moderate to severe physical disability may require help.
