Bream, Perch, Rudd and Pike Fishery
The water is part of the derelict Lagan Navigation Canal. It is shallow, weedy and productive. It is popular as a winter Pike fishery and pleasure angling venue. It can be dangerous to step off the towpath as there is a layer of floating vegetation which will not support an angler's weight.
How to get there
From the M1 junction 9 (Moira roundabout) follow the A26 for 1.5 km. Turn left for Soldierstown then follow the B105 out of the village for 0.5 km. The car park is on the left just after the hump back bridge. Care should be taken when driving from the car park due to poor sight lines
