Welcome to “A Selection of Angling Waters in Northern Ireland”. The web site is designed to assist tourist and local anglers to obtain information on a variety of angling opportunties available in Northern Ireland.

There is a tremendous variety of fisheries available in Northern Ireland offering excellent salmon and sea trout angling, with some providing exclusive beat fishing. Wild brown trout fisheries abound from the vast limestone Loughs of the Erne where trout of 4 kg and over are taken every season to wild mountain loughs and superb river fishing with trout ranging from 0.4 kg to 3kg.

There are specialist pike fisheries, or competition and leisure anglers may prefer the world-class fishing for bream and roach where bags up to 60 kg are regularly taken. There are also perch, tench and rudd fisheries.

The Northern Ireland Government provides a Public Angling Estate of Fisheries available to tourist and local anglers on payment of a small permit fee. This web site provides detailed information on over 60 fisheries from the Estate. Disabled angling facilities are available on many fisheries.

Angling in Northern Ireland is not expensive and access by air or car ferry is simple. All types of accommodation are available. You could be fishing within hours of arriving as all fisheries can be reached by car within two hours and many within an hour or less.
